Good morning, fellow Angelenos! We may supposedly be in the midst of June gloom, but the sun is shining and I’ve got live music on the mind. This weekend in LA boasts a bundle of great options for anyone looking for a stellar concert experience, so check out just a few of your many selections below, and be sure to let me know in the comments where you’ll be dancing away the weekend.

GRMLN @ The Smell – Friday, June 14th, 2013

Just under two weeks after releasing his debut album, Empire, via Carpark Records, dark rock artist Yoodoo Park (better known by his stage name, GRMLN) will be playing The Smell with The Shrills and Pool Honeys prior to heading out on the road for a West Coast tour with Tijuana Panthers.

CSS with IO Echo & MS MR @ The Fonda Theatre – Saturday, June 15th, 2013 – Tickets

Brazilian rock band CSS may be headlining, but with IO Echo and MS MR supporting, this is one show that I wouldn’t even consider showing up to fashionably late. IO Echo’s Far East-influenced industrial-pop plus the dark-pop stylings of MS MR on one bill? Yes, please!

Shoshana Bean @ Hotel Cafe – Sunday, June 16th, 2013

Former LA Music Blogcast guest Shoshanna Bean will make an appearance at Hotel Cafe to close out the weekend as part of the venue’s Sunday Summer Jazz and Jam. Shoshana made a name for herself playing Elphaba on Broadway in the musical Wicked, so just imagine what that powerful voice will sound like in the intimate confines of Hotel Cafe. Better yet, get out to the show and know for sure.
