With the picturesque Santa Monica Pier as your stage and the beautiful Pacific Ocean as your backdrop, not much beats a nice fall sunset on the pier. Add singing and dancing along to your favorite folk artist to the mix, and you’ve got a weekend to remember!
Founded by George Wein and Pete Seeger in 1959, the Newport Folk Festival has set the stage for many new, hip, aspiring folk artists in Rhode Island, and for the first time in history, the festival is packing its bags and heading west. Brought to you by Newport Folk Festival, the two-day music event Way Over Yonder will bring amazing folk and acoustic talent to the Santa Monica Pier on October 5th and 6th.
Gracing the Pacific Ocean for the first time, Newport Folk Festival’s Way Over Yonder will consist an 18-artist lineup across two stages, the first boasting headliners such as Conor Oberst, Neko Case, and Brett Dennen, right on the pier.
The festival begins both days at 2pm, and single-day and two-day tickets go on sale on June 14th at 10am. Pre-sale tickets will be available by password access to email list members of Newport Folk Festival, Rum & Humble, and Spaceland June 12 at 10am.
See you on the pier!
