Music, celebrity chefs, and Cirque du Soleil. Leave it to Las Vegas to marry the three.
It’s no surprise that Fall 2013’s inaugural Life is Beautiful Festival has been piquing a lot of interest. With a lineup that includes Beck, Pretty Lights, Passion Pit, Kings of Leon, and, naturally, Sin City natives The Killers, Life is Beautiful is bringing some serious musical chops to the table. That’s no surprise given that heavyweight concert production firm Another Planet (of Outside Lands and Treasure Island fame) has been curating artists for this lineup.
What is a surprise is the stellar selection of celebrity chefs that will also be on deck to satisfy all of your culinary whims. Scarpetta’s Scott Conant, Fleur de Lys’ Hubert Keller, XIV’s Michael Mina, and Top Chef judge/Craft-founder Tom Colicchio are just a few of the names listed on an impressively pithy chef lineup. The idea of wolfing down some of Conant’s incredible spaghetti while rocking out to Portugal. The Man is equal parts surreal and satisfying.
And, because this is Vegas, showcases from Cirque du Soleil are musts. From the Beatles’ tracks-laden Love, to my personal favorite, O, all of Cirque du Soleil’s shows currently running on the strip are represented.
Life is Beautiful is going down October 26th and 27th in downtown Las Vegas. Regular GA and VIP tickets are still available but are selling fast. Get them while you still can!
