The first time I saw Empire of the Sun I was completely blown away. They had an elaborate Cirque du Soleil-esque set up with tons of costume changes and props. Yesterday, they released their second album, Ice on the Dune, and it is filled to the brim with a unique blend of sounds and electro beats that are sure to get your feet moving.

Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore created their “post-apocalyptic psychedelic adventure” in 2008 with their debut album, Walking on a Dream, which went on to sell more than a million copies and win a litany of awards. Empire of the Sun’s last tour was filled with dancing swordfish girls, bazookas, and other special effects that are out of this world. I have no idea what they have planned for this tour, but I’m sure it will be spectacular and zany in their typical fashion.

You can catch Empire of the Sun this weekend in Vegas at the Electric Daisy Carnival or in LA at Hard Summer in August.
