If you think you might be feeling the post-summer festival season blues come October, consider the sixth annual Treasure Island Music Festival. Its lineup was just release today, and all I can say is WOW.
This year’s headlining acts — Thom Yorke-fronted supergroup Atoms for Peace and legendary singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Beck — will undoubtedly put on some seriously mindblowing sets, but don’t make the mistake of disregarding the stellar undercard, which includes Major Lazer, James Blake, Phantogram, Japandroids, and Palma Violets.
Located up north on San Francisco’s Treasure Island, the festival is a two-day affair that’s more than worth the drive as it boasts ocean views, delicious food, and spectacular art (in addition to, you know, the awesome music).
Both GA and VIP tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10AM. GA tickets start at $130 and cap out at $150. $275 VIP tickets include access to preferred viewing areas, a tented lounge with a full bar, private restrooms, and special food concessions. Get on that!
