Well, that didn’t take long. HARD Summer music fesitval has released the lineup for its two-day go-hard extravaganza. It’s seems like only yesterday I was listening to Busy P’s summer mix, which might be because it was. Whatever. It’s a great mix, and looking at the festival lineup, HARD Summer should be great as well.

For the Electro Set

HARD stalwart Destructo is back this year along with veteran Kill the Noise. Dog Blood is here, too. That name might sound unfamiliar because the members of this duo are better known on their own as Skrillex and Boys Noize (also HARD vets), so yeah, no shortage of hard-as-hell, ravey madness here. Also, it’s Ed Banger Records’ 10th Anniversary. Justice? Gesaffelstein? Busy P? Breakbot? Sunday is going to be excellent.

Dubstep is Dead, Love Live the Trap

You might notice a severe shortage of dubsteppers at HARD this year. Instead, there are LOADS of traptastic bedroom producers making their way out. Flosstradamus, gLAdiator, Keys N Krates, Baauer…they really went for it. I’m looking forward to gLAdiator. They’re from LA, for one thing, and their “M1 Stinger” remix goes hard. Turn the bass up for this one.

Hip-Hop Makes a Debut

Flying Lotus really needs no introduction. He’s an LA native who’s been making a name for himself with amazing beats for years. If you’re looking for something new, though, I’d highly suggest checking out TNGHT and Just Blaze. TNGHT has an incredible energy, and Blaze alone is responsible for more successful beats than anyone else on this lineup. Beat heads would do well to check him out.

House Heads Rejoice!

HARD has seen fit to slip a few softer artists into their lineup over the past few events, and Duck Sauce is coming back as well. Remember that song “Barbara Streisand”? Yeah. Even if you hate that song, Duck Sauce knows how to make people dance. Up-and-coming deep house producers Disclosure will be in attendance with R&B-inspired beats. They had a great show at Coachella, and I’d be glad to see them again.
