Happy March, LAmb readers! We’ll be losing 60 minutes of fun this weekend (damn you, Daylight Savings Time!), so that means you’ll have to pack even more musical enjoyment into the other 71 hours. Checkout just a few of your many live music options in the Los Angeles area this weekend, and let me know in the comments where you suggest readers get their music fix this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!
MusInk Tattoo and Music Festival @ OC Fair & Events Center – March 8-10 – Tickets
All weekend long, fans of punk rock and rockin’ ink will be taking over the OC fairgrounds for the sixth annual MusInk Tattoo and Music Festival. The 3-day extravaganza will feature performances by Bad Religion, Reverend Horton Heat, TSOL, Lagwagon, The Vandals, Lucero, Pennywise (recently reformed with all four original members), and more, and with over 300 tattoo artists on site, it’s the perfect place to get some new artwork while enjoying great music.
Stefan Alexander @ House of Blues Foundation Room – March 9 – Tickets
Friend of the LAmb Stefan Alexander will be performing at the House of Blues Foundation Room this Saturday, so if you’re looking to add a little pop rock to your weekend, that’s the place to be. As an added bonus, he’ll be joined on stage by none other than our own Ben Gill, so be sure to catch Ben hosting the LA Music Blogcast on TradioV from 8-10 tonight, then on stage this Saturday.
KMFDM @ The Fonda Theater – March 10 – Tickets
Since forming almost thirty years ago, KMFDM has been bridging the gap between techno and heavy metal, and this Sunday they’ll bring their ever-evolving sound to The Fonda Theatre for a show supported by industrial goth-rock band Legion Within and tribal-infused industrial drum project CHANT.
