The music-appreciation party did not end after the 55th annual GRAMMYs wrapped on Sunday, February 10th. Parties were thrown across Hollywood, including one by GRAMMY nominee and excellent party thrower Steve Aoki. The Dim Mak Records founder hosted a huge bash at Drai’s in Hollywood right after the award ceremony, and my skinny jeans and yellow sweater were in attendance, along with half of Los Angeles.
After skipping to the front of the line, like a boss — an awkward, underdressed for a hot nightclub boss — I made my way to the music-blasting elevator and up a number of stories to the top of the W Hotel. The doors opened to a crazy, loud, light show dance fest equipped with a dance floor, dance tables, and an outdoor pool complete with cabanas.
This after party rivaled any other going on in the city, boasting a wide range of industry professionals, industry professionals’ friends, socialites, and people who just wanted to dance to the electro/dance/club mix blasting through the speakers. I danced with myself, waved to people I didn’t know, and had the best Grammys after party time Steve Aoki could put together.
