The nationwide Take Action Tour, sponsored by Sub City and Hopeless Records, is in town this Friday at the Wiltern. The tour features headliners The Used with We Came As Romans, Mindflow, and Crown the Empire, and proceeds will benefit the It Gets Better Project, a national organization created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach post-teens.
Feeling like you need to release your inner rock god this weekend by reliving the glory days of Led Zepplin? Swing by the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip to check out Led Zepplin 2, a cover band that is heralded as “flawless” and “expertly executed” by press nationwide. Come rock out to all your favorite Zepplin songs, from “Immigrant Song” to “Black Dog” to “Stairway to Heaven.” Just don’t get too rowdy!
If you’re in need of some serious unwinding on Sunday evening, head to The Fonda Theater to catch electronic synthpop master Toro Y Moi. Performing with Dog Bite and Sinkane, Toro Y Moi utilizes looping and filtered vocals to create some of the best chillwave music around. His third studio album, Anything in Return, dropped in January, so expect him to recreate those tracks this Sunday night.
