My first experience with The Joy Formidable was catching the Welsh trio’s headlining set at Billabong’s Design for Humanity event this past July, and throughout the performance, I could hardly take my eyes off the band’s “firecracker of a frontwoman,” Ritzy Bryan (this is even more noteworthy if you consider my schoolgirl crush on Matt Skiba, who was standing mere feet away from me during The Joy Formidable’s set). Ritzy’s electrifying stage presence, combined with the band’s huge sound and superb songwriting ability, made for a night I wouldn’t soon forget.

At the time, The Joy Formidable had only one full-length release under their belts from which to pull (2011’s amazing The Big Roar), but that changed this past month when they released their sophomore album, Wolf’s Law, on January 22nd. In support of said album, the group is currently touring Europe, after which they’ll begin a series of North American tour dates, and thanks to our good friends at Goldenvoice, we have TWO pairs of tickets to give away to the band’s show at The Fonda Theatre on March 21st!

To enter to win, just leave a comment below this post. That’s it! Be sure to include an email address you check frequently (i.e., at least once a day), as that’s how we’ll be getting in touch with the winners. Letting us know why you deserve to win won’t hurt your chances, but if leaving important things like seeing The Joy Formidable live up to chance isn’t your thing, tickets are still available for purchase.
