Eighteen years after its initial release, the excellent Manic Compression will be getting a deluxe gatefold re-release on vinyl via SRC Vinyl. The sophomore effort from Quicksand was initially released in February 1995 on Island Records and was the band’s biggest commercial success. Now it’ll be seeing a 180-gram vinyl release in four different and no doubt equally wonderful colors.


The re-release comes on the back of an unexpected reunion last year, which has now been extended into the band’s first national tour since they disbanded in the late-nineties. The post-hardcore New Yorkers will be playing the Los Angeles leg of the tour next Tuesday, January 22nd, at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, and tickets for that show are still available.
