Every Tuesday in December I feel like one of Santa’s elves has swooped down from the North Pole to help me check more names off my gift-buying list (elves do run the music industry, right?). There’s something for everyone on today’s list of notable album releases, so be sure to check them out below and let me know in the comments what new music you’ll be listening to today!

Big Boi – Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors
Big Boi and André 3000 will both always hold a special place in my heart, though I will admit I haven’t been as big of a fan of their solo work as I was of Outkast. Today’s release marks the follow-up to Big Boi’s solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, and it may just be the album to warm me to the duo’s post-Outkast efforts.

Green Day – !Tre!
Back in October, Green Day announced that they would be cancelling their remaining 2012 tour dates and postponing all 2013 dates while frontman Billie Joe Armstrong continued to seek treatment for substance abuse. Their consolation to fans? The early release of !Tre!, the third album in the band’s trio of releases. The album wasn’t schedule to be released until January, but fans of the pop punk trio can pick it up today.

Amon Tobin – ISAM Live (CD+DVD)
Lesley caught the final date of Amon Tobin’s ISAM 2.0 run at The Greek Theatre in October, and judging by her review, the show was an experience unlike any other. The prolific electronic musician/composer/producer created outstanding visuals to accompany the music, resulting in something Lesley called, “part musical performance, part art installation, and wholly mesmerizing.” Makes total sense that this one would be a CD/DVD.
