With so many music outlets already releasing their Best of 2012 lists (including LA Music Blog’s Top 50 Albums of 2012), I can understand why artists may be hesitant to release albums of new material in December. However, we do have a few notable albums entering the collective consciousness today, so check out our list below, and be sure to let me know in the comments what I missed.

Blur – Parklive (Deluxe Edition)

One of several albums on this list that offers something other than new music, this effort was recorded at Hyde Park, London during Blur’s performance as part of the companion concert to the 2012 Summer Olympics’ closing ceremony. This Deluxe Edition includes the concert on 2 CDs with a DVD of the 12-camera shoot directed by Mathew Amos, plus an exclusive CD, Blur – Live At The 100 Club, recorded at the legendary London venue in August, PLUS another CD of special live tracks recorded this summer. The best part? All of this comes packaged in a 60-page hardback book containing exclusive photographs from both Hyde Park and the 100 Club. Definitely the perfect gift for any Blur fan in your life.

Memory Tapes – Grace/Confusion

Richie brought us the details on this new effort from Dayve Hawk back in October, and now the release date is finally here. The effort marks his third LP and will feature 6 tracks spanning 39 minutes. Of the album, Hawk has said, “I decided to showcase a kind of chaotic reaching,” so if your main interest in music lies in 3.5 minute pop songs, you might want to look elsewhere. Which brings us to…

Ke$Ha – Warrior

Ke$ha! She’s like the trashy older cousin your parents never wanted you to hang out with, and today she’s releasing her sophomore full-length, Warrior. You’ve likely already heard the album’s lead single, “Die Young,” on which fun.’s Nate Ruess is credited as a co-writer, but other collaborators on the album include The Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, and of course, executive producer Dr. Luke.
