Yesterday, California five-piece The Neighbourhood released a music video for their new track “Let It Go,” and while I really liked all five songs on the band’s debut EP, I’m Sorry (released this past August), I LOVE this new track. The group blends hip-hop and California indie rock in a shadowy, slightly sinister way that leaves me at a loss for words when searching for comparable acts, and if ever a band was poised to blow up, The Neighbourhood is that band.

The group is currently on tour in the U.S. with Paul Banks (Interpol), and they’ll be wrapping up that string of dates with a show at The Fonda Theatre here in LA on December 5th (tickets are still available). After that, they’ll be performing a December California residency at The Bootleg Theatre in LA and The Constellation in Santa Ana. All shows are 21+ and FREE to attend, so I suggest you gift yourself a night out while you can still see The Neighbourhood playing club shows.
