We’re officially transitioning into December this weekend, but in LA the winter months don’t mean you have to stay in. Get out and enjoy some live music this weekend. Here are a few recommendations to get you started.
Nas & Ms. Lauryn Hill @ The Wiltern – November 30th – Tickets
Tomorrow night, Nas and Ms. Lauryn Hill will be wrapping up their Life Is Good/Black Rage co-headlining tour with a show at the Wiltern here in Los Angeles. With two musical heavyweights on a single bill, this is sure to be an amazing night of music, so consider yourself lucky tickets are still available.
KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball Night #1 @ Nokia Theatre LA Live – December 1st – Win Tickets
If “eclectic” is your middle name, first off, you have some very unconventional parents, and secondly, you’re going to want to try to win tickets to the first night of KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball. With performances by Taylor Swift, Ne-Yo, Ellie Goulding, OneRepublic, The Jonas Brothers, and more, this is a pop music lovers’ dream. If you just can’t satisfy your pop fix with this one night of music, though, the event will conclude on Monday night with a second night of performances by Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Flo Rida, The Wanted, Afrojack, Owl City, Zedd, and Psy, plus a special acoustic performance by fun.
Kate Earl @ The Federal Bar – December 2nd – FREE!
If you’re looking for something a little easier on the wallet than those two as-expensive-as-they-are-awesome options, then head out to The Federal Bar in NoHo Sunday night for a free performance by Kate Earl. This month, the singer/songwriter released her new album, Stronger — co-written with such notable LA artists as Brett Dennen and Blake Mills — so fans will surely be treated to some new songs as well as favorites from past releases. If Sunday is a no-go for ya, no worries because you can also catch Kate playing Hotel Cafe tonight as well as The Troubadour on December 14th.
