LA Music Blog is sending fans to so many great shows this weekend through our tickets giveaways — Minus the Bear with Cursive at Club Nokia, Brandi Carlile with Blitzen Trapper at the Orpheum, SONAR Tour featuring Die Antwoord at the Shrine Expo Center — but even if you didn’t win tickets to a show through the LAmb, you have plenty of opportunities for a great live music experience in LA this weekend.

Tilly and The Wall @ The Troubadour – November 9th, 2012 – Tickets

It’s hard to be bummed out while watching someone tap dance, so if you’re looking to smile this weekend, get thee to Tilly and the Wall’s show at the Troubadour on Friday! Longtime fan of the Omaha, Nebraska band and their exuberant music, so be sure to catch these guys and gals along with Icky Blossoms and Guy Blakeslee Friday night.

Sea Wolf @ El Rey Theatre – November 10th, 2012 – Tickets

Silverlake’s own Dangerbird Records released Sea Wolf’s latest effort, Old World Romance, back in September, so if you’re looking to support a hometown act this weekend, here’s your chance. The artist behind the project, Alex Brown Church, produces lush folk-pop arrangements perfect for swaying and hand-holding, and I imagine the show would be the ideal backdrop for a sweet first date, so find yourself a lady or gent and head out to Sea Wolf’s show with Hey Marseilles and The Donnies The Amys this Saturday night.

Wolfgang Gartner @ The Hollywood Palladium – November 10th, 2012 – Tickets

If you’re looking to spend your Saturday night enjoying something a little less organic, electro-house producer/DJ Wolfgang Gartner will be blowing the roof off the Palladium alongside Proxy, L-VIS 1990, and POPESKA. The artist is still riding high on the September release of Back Story via Ultra Music, and you are practically guaranteed to hear something you’ve never heard before when you attend a Wolfgang Gartner show.
