This Tuesday’s new album releases are marked by twos: a pair of highly anticipated releases from the world of hard rock courtesy of Deftones and Soundgarden, a couple of collaborative albums from hip hop’s 9th Wonder, and of course, who can even think about a new Christina Aguilera album without considering her double assets? Check out our list of notable releases below, and be sure to let me know in the comments what you’ll be listening to today!

Deftones – Koi No Yokan
After reading David’s review of this, the latest effort from alt-metal act Deftones, Koi No Yokan has made its way to the top of my must-hear albums for the day. Definitely one to listen to all the way through, and if you want to hear the tracks performed live, be sure to pick up your tickets now for the group’s show at the Hollywood Palladium on November 21st.

Soundgarden – King Animal
This one is definitely the week’s most anticipated release (and quite possibly, the year’s), arriving 16 years after the group’s last studio release. Again, if you’re digging what the Soundgarden is throwing down on this effort, be sure to pick up tickets to one (or both) of their February shows in LA when they go on sale this Friday.

Sufjan Stevens – Silver & Gold

And just because the holidays are right around the corner, why not get in the Christmas spirit with Sufjan Stevens? His 58-song holiday album drops today, so get a jump start on the holiday decorating while listening to such soon-to-be-classic tracks as “Ding-a-ling-a-ring-a-ling” and “Christmas Unicorn.”

The Weeknd – Trilogy

David just shared the video for R&B artist The Weeknd’s track “The Zone” with us yesterday, and today marks the release of the artist’s major label debut. This 3-disc compilation features The Weeknd’s already-released mixtapes — House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence — so if, like me, you’re fairly unfamiliar with the artist’s work, now’s the perfect time to get caught up.
