That didn’t take long! Barely a month has passed since Dave Grohl confirmed that the Foo Fighters would be taking an indefinite hiatus, and this week, it was announced that the legendary Foo frontman would be back behind the kit for the next Queens of the Stone Age album, set for release sometime in the first half of 2013.
As reported on Consequence of Sound, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme broke the news of Grohl’s return to the band in a new interview with BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe. Grohl will be replacing Joey Castillo, who left the band for still unknown reasons, and this will be his first time playing drums on a Queens of the Stone Age record since 2002′s Songs for the Deaf. Can’t wait to hear the new album!
