As I prepare to push fun.’s sophomore full-length on all of my fellow writers at LA Music Blog for consideration in their year end “Best of” lists, the band arms me with more “they’re the awesomest” ammo courtesy of a new music video. Thanks, guys!
The video for “Carry On” is by far my favorite of the three clips released in support of Some Nights thus far, not because the other two were in any way lacking (check out “We Are Young” and “Some Nights” for yourselves), but because this video in particular seems to encapsulate what makes fun. great: the chemistry between the three musicians at its core. Nate, Jack, and Andrew cavort through their NYC home turf, from Grand Central Station to Terminal 5, and the energy of the video is the closest thing to a live fun. show that I’ve seen captured on film.
