I know it is completely unreasonable to be annoyed with a massive natural disaster for affecting my entertainment when people are losing their homes and worse, but here on the West Coast where I can look out my window and see blue skies and sunshine, the most direct impact of the storm on my life has been on my recreational activities. No new episode of The Daily Show to watch while eating my lunch yesterday, and now, no Woodkid performance to catch at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex this weekend.

Unfortunately, the French director/producer/songwriter has been forced to cancel his Los Angeles debut due to the inclement weather, which means we also have to cancel our ticket giveaway. This cancellation extends to all of Woodkid’s US dates, including New York and San Francisco, and tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

Big bummer, but like I said, it’s hard to be too upset when so many on the East Coast are facing true tragedy. We’ll be sure to let you know when Woodkid’s performances are rescheduled, and to all our readers in Sandy’s path, be safe!
