Last month, Nas and Lauryn Hill announced the Life Is Good/Black Rage tour, named after Nas’s #1 album, Life Is Good, and “Black Rage,” a new song by Lauryn Hill about the derivative effects of racial inequity and abuse. The tour kicks off in Phoenix on October 20 and will be swinging by the Wiltern in Los Angeles on November 30.

“Black Rage” will be released this fall and is described by Hill as a juxtaposition to the statement “life is good,” which she believes can only be so when these long standing issues are addressed and resolved.

“I use the performance platform as an opportunity to express the energy of that moment, and the intention behind it,” said Hill. “I’ve been a long standing rebel against the stale, over commoditization. As artists we have opportunity to help the public evolve, raise consciousness and awareness, teach, heal, enlighten and inspire in ways the democratic process may not be able to touch. So we keep it moving.”

Tickets for the Wiltern date go on sale in Los Angeles this Friday, October 19th at 10 AM at Live Nation with the LA pre-sale to begin this Thursday, October 18th. This one will no doubt sell out, so be sure to mark your calendar and pick up your tickets on Friday.
