Pop, electronica, folk, metal…you name a genre, and there’s a major act releasing an album from it today. Check out the big-name list of album releases below, and be sure to let me know in the comments what you’ll be listening to today!

Mumford & Sons – Babel
One of the most highly anticipated sophomore albums of the year, the latest from Mumford will have the world paying attention to see if the folky Brits can repeat the success of their debut, Sigh No More. Fans had a chance to hear the first single, “I Will Wait,” back in August, but today’s the day we find out if Babel holds up as a full album. This is definitely at the top of my “must-hear” releases of the day.

No Doubt – Push and Shove
Four years in the making, expectations are set high for Push And Shove, No Doubt’s first release since 2001’s Rock Steady. Since the release of their breakthrough album Tragic Kingdom in 1995, No Doubt, and specifically the band’s frontwoman Gwen Stefani, have remained in the spotlight, and this album will no doubt (couldn’t resist) have a lot to do with whether that trend continues for another decade.

Green Day – ¡Uno!
Oh Green Day. Today marks the first of a trio of releases the pop punkers have planned for the next few months, but instead of celebrating with the usual slew of publicity appearances, Billie Joe Armstrong is spending the day receiving treatment for substance abuse. After a public meltdown at the iHeartRadio festival on Friday, the frontman entered rehab this weekend. No clue whether this will help, hurt, or even affect the success of the album, but personally, I am more interesteed in the success of Billie Joe. Here’s hoping he’s able to get the help he needs to come back as strong as ever.

As I Lay Dying – Awakened
One of the biggest names in American metal, San Diego’s As I Lay Dying will be releasing their sixth full-length album today via Metal Blade Records. In celebration of the release and the label’s 30th anniversary, the band will be playing a special show for fans at Santos Party House in New York City tonight, so if you’re in the Big Apple and looking for a brutal way to spend the evening, look no further.

Deadmau5 – > Album Title Goes Here <
Did you know Deadmau5 and Kat Von D are dating? Do you think it’s solely so the press can make “Kat and Mau5” jokes? Personal life aside, Joel Thomas Zimmerman’s latest effort from under the mau5 head features appearances by Imogen Heap, Cypress Hill, Gerard Way, and more, so it’s definitely one to check out if you’re a fan of the DJ.
