London four-piece Bloc Party’s highly-anticipated fourth album, Four, is set for release on August 21st via Frenchkiss Records, but if you’re loath to wait another 7 days before listening to the aptly titled release from the indie rockers, you’re in luck, because the band is currently streaming the album in its entirety on the Bloc Party website!
I’m a bit of a technophobe myself, but if listening (and dancing) to the album isn’t enough to keep your brain occupied, fans also have the option on the website of recreating Four’s artwork through an interactive environment built by developer Lee Martin just by logging in via Facebook. The device will be accessible on all platforms (mobile, tablet, PC) as well as active via the Bloc Party iPhone / Android app (you can pick that up for free via the app stores now).
Several Four pre-order packages are available now, and the group will be hitting the road on a string of US tour dates with Ceremony next month. No LA date on the schedule, but with a new album release usually comes a heavy touring schedule, so we’ll keep you posted when more dates are announced.
