The September 24th release of Mumford and Sons’ highly anticipated sophomore album, Babel, is still an almost-unbearable month and a half away. However, as a means of temporarily staving off the shakes caused by a lack of new music from Mumford, the folk four-piece released the first single from the album, “I Will Wait,” today!

The new track is actually not ENTIRELY new, as the verse melody has been heard previously as part of a popular track Mumford and Sons used to play during live shows called “Nothing Is Written” (you can thank Baebelmusic for that little tidbit). However, if they played that track when I saw them perform at the Music Box in 2010, I don’t remember it.

Let me know in the comments what you think. Does the new track from Mumford and Sons live up to your expectations? How do you think it compares to the singles from Sigh No More?
