Do you want to have a music adventure this weekend? Of course you do. Honestly, how else would our LA music fans spend their free time? Anyway, I found a couple of events that will spice up your evenings after enjoying your beach-perfect days (I it. Mid-80s. You are welcome.)  Cooling down is for wimps, right?

Dirty Projectors w/ Wye Oak @ Wiltern – Saturday, July 28th, 2012

Now that Brooklyn-native experimental chill-rock band Dirty Projectors have released their newest awe-inspiring album, Swing Lo Magellan, the group is finally making the obligatory and much-appreciated Los Angeles stop on their tour. Joined by the equally fantastic duo Wye Oak, Dirty Projectors is sure to amaze their audience with music spanning their 10-year career.

Relient K w/ Hellogoodbye, William Becket, & House of Heroes @ House of Blues – Anaheim – Saturday, July 28th, 2012

Ready for a blast from the past? It is time to reminisce over your former punk days of the early 2000s and enjoy some good ol’ fashion turn-of-the-century rock. I don’t know about you, but it is always good to have a few throwbacks now and again, huh?

Fiona Apple @ Hollywood Palladium – Sunday, July 29th, 2012

Thanks to the fact that the wonderful Fiona Apple has returned to the indie music scene after her new album The Idler Wheel… dropped, starry-eyed hipsters everywhere finally have their beloved original manic-pixie-dream-girl artist back. Now it is your chance to see the alt-jazz-rock goddess in person this weekend…if you scored tickets to the show before they sold out, that is.

Those are just a few things that are going on this weekend. Not get off your bum and see a concert or two, okay!
