I’ve noted before that the Music Box is my favorite venue in LA, so I was damn near devastated to hear today that the venue was closing down. Who would do such a thing?? Apparently, the same person who would evict you and your roomies from that cozy condo in college for too much partying: the evil landlord!
Of course I don’t know the whole story, and the closure is said to be only temporary, but it’s still pretty tragic that the venue won’t be hosting any concerts in the near future. What does this mean for previously scheduled performances such as Angels and Airwaves (1/26), Dr. Dog (2/10), and Nada Surf (3/20)? Don’t know yet, but we’ll keep you posted on any new developments as they come our way.
Until then, let us know what you think of the situation in the comments. Are there enough venues in LA to make up for the loss of The Music Box? Or are you as troubled as I am by the news? Sound off below!
