Guess what? Doomtree is coming to Los Angeles on February 2nd! Can I get a HELL YES! The West Hollywood show, which will take place at the Troubadour, is one of many on Doomtree’s tour, which kicks off in January to promote their new album No Kings. Before we go any further, I’ve got three words for you about this album: LISTEN TO IT!

The “midwest hip hop collective” is trekking all over the U.S. this winter, keeping busy with thirty-two shows from coast to coast. I’ve been waiting to see these guys live for quite some time. The closest I got was watching members P.O.S. and Mike Mictlan perform at this year’s Paid Dues Tour. I unfortunately missed Dessa in concert when she was also on tour earlier this year, so now, needless to say, I’m all over this!

No Kings has recently reached #3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. After 10+ years of blood, sweat, and tears, it seems like the masses are finally realizing just how explosively talented these Minneapolis natives are. If you haven’t already listened to the record, then I suggest you do so in time for Doomtree’s West Hollywood show in February. I can’t even remember the last time this innovative rap crew performed as a collective around the Los Angeles area, so trust me, you won’t want to miss this! I’m already preparing myself. This album has been on repeat since it came out, and no, I’m not exaggerating.
