Tim Kasher released his first solo album last year, but now he’s back with a new album from Cursive, the band that arguably made him a household name amongst the indie rock crowd. Recorded at Omaha’s ARC Studios with producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Minus The Bear, Isis) and mixed at Red Room in Seattle, WA, Cursive’s seventh studio album, I Am Gemini, hits stores February 21st, 2012 via Kasher’s longtime label home, Saddle Creek Records.

The album is being described as the “surreal and powerful musical tale of Cassius and Pollock, twin brothers separated at birth.  One good and one evil, their unexpected reunion in a house that is not a home ignites a classic struggle for the soul, played out with a cast of supporting characters that includes a chorus of angels and devils, and twin sisters conjoined at the head.” Sounds perfectly in line with Cursive’s penchant for big themes and bigger sounds.
