As proven by the Bee Gees, Carpenters, and Jonas Brothers Beach Boys, there’s something special about musical acts who share DNA, and one of my favorite such bands is Eisley. Consisting of four siblings (Chauntelle, Sherri, Stacy, and Weston DuPree) and their cousin (Garron DuPree), Eisley landed on my radar when I went to a show to see Reggie and the Full Effect and New Found Glory back in 2005, and left the venue absolutely in love with the opening act’s dreamy, harmony-laden indie pop.

Last week, Eisley announced that they will be embarking on a month-long headlining tour in support of their latest release, The Valley. They’ll be joined by Tampa, FL-based band Marksmen and younger sister, Christie DuPree, bringing yet another family member into the mix. The tour will be making five stops in California, including one in nearby Anaheim, and the quintet will also be performing at the 2011 Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, WA during this series of dates.

Eisley is also currently recording a new EP to be released in late-2011, so lots of goodness from the DuPrees in the coming months. Check out the dates below!
