After a successful summer stint throughout Europe and the UK, Down has announced their highly anticipated return to the States with a three-week headlining run! Starting September 1st in San Antonio, Texas, the band will make their way to the left coast on September 10th with an appearance at The Grove in Anaheim. VIP pre-sale tickets for all the dates will be available starting TODAY, with complete details available through the band’s official website.

While it’s been more than four years since the band’s last release, Down has managed to stay on everyone’s radar through each members’ outside musical endeavors, as well as their 2010 live DVD, Diary of a Mad Band. Though conflicting schedules have ultimately led to lengthy lulls between releases, the band has hinted at an upcoming album reportedly due out later this year, though no official statement has been made.

Earlier this year, Down startled fans with an unexpected lineup shift, with longtime bassist Rex Brown replaced by Crowbar’s Pat Bruders. Prior to Brown’s departure, guitarist Pepper Keenan commented, “Rex is not gonna be with us…he’s got things he needs to deal with.” Bruders has been working with the band on new material, while Brown works on his latest project, Kill Devil Hill.
