I love these guys! I bet they would be a shit-ton of fun to hang out with at Burning Man. Their latest video is for “Silly Fathers” off their new album Omega La La, which is due out on June 21st. HOWEVER, you can download the album NOW for FREE if you go to Rubblebucket’s website!

The video was filmed entirely on Super 8 film, giving it this gritty 1970s hippy feel. It shows the band happily bounding thru the city, singing and playing their instruments and picking up friends along the way. Then, like gleeful Halley-Bopp Comet cult members, they all find themselves mysteriously drawn toward a remote field by these colorfully shrouded people.

Now I don’t care how charismatic shroud people can be, my parents told me never to follow them anywhere!! Like what if Marshall Applewhite is underneath the purple one?? You never know. At least one of them shoulda checked that shroud for Nike sneakers before they all started gyrating with it…

Also, in case you haven’t seen it already, here’s the band’s video for “It Came Out of a Lady.” I LOOOOVE this song, and the video was actually named “Best Lo-Budget Video of 2010″ by The Deli Magazine.
