This year keeps getting better and better! Not only will Opeth release their tenth album, Heritage, on September 20th, but the band is also planning a US run with fellow Swedes Katatonia in tow!

In case you don’t usually follow my musical mumblings, both bands were responsible for introducing me to the melodic realm of death metal. Last year I had the opportunity to catch both acts in two very different settings–Opeth at the Wiltern on their 20th anniversary run and Katatonia at The Whisky in support of Night is the New Day. As expected, both bands were amazing and left me eagerly awaiting their next stateside performances.

Well, the wait is finally over! While the tour will reportedly run for seven weeks throughout the US, a handful of dates have just been revealed, with an October 21st stop at the Fox Theater in Pomona.
