Nice mix of albums being released on this, the first Tuesday of April. Are you as ready for summer as I am? I think at least a few of these albums would provide great beachside soundtracks. Will you be picking any of them up? Let us know in the comments!
The Kills – Blood Pressure
KROQ DJ Nicole Alvarez made clear her love of the Kills by featuring not one, but two of their songs on her recent “Top Ten Songs of the Moment” write-up for LA Music Blog. That’s 20% of the list, people! Today’s the day to find out what all the fuss is about.
Maritime – Human Hearts
Fans of the Promise Ring probably already know that Maritime singer Davey von Bohlen and drummer Dan Didier were founding members of the pioneering mid-90s emo band, but what they might not know is that this album also marks a reunion of sorts, as it’s the band’s first on their new label, Dangerbird Records, which is co-owned by CEO Jeff Castelaz, who used to manage The Promise Ring. Small world.
Ha Ha Tonka – Death Of A Decade
This rustic Missouri four-piece is back with their third full-length, which they are releasing in a number of cool packages. If you’re interested in scoring a t-shirt, signed tour poster, download of handwritten lyrics, and more, head over to the band’s website asap. These are all in limited quantities, and I imagine they’ll be going fast.
Burzum – Fallen
Tiesto – Club Life
Midlake – Late Night Tales
Asking Alexandria – Reckless and Relentless
Hollywood Undead – American Tragedy
The Submarines – Love Notes/Letter Bombs
We Are Enfant Terrible – Explicit Pictures
