If you’re an LA-based instrumental hip-hop/electronica fan, me telling you that The Glitch Mob is one of the west coast’s fastest rising stars of the genre probably isn’t news. After years of releasing critically acclaimed mixtapes and remixes, the three piece comprised of Josh “Ooah,” Justin “Boreta,” and Ed “edIT” finally dropped their debut full-length, Drink the Sea, earlier this year, cementing their place at the forefront of the musical movement.

Futuristic and entirely original (the band used no samples on the album), Drink the Sea can best be described as a sonic experience, one that will get your head nodding and your brain thinking. Check it out courtesy of the streaming widget below, and if you happen to live in the South-East, be sure to head out to the group’s New Years Eve performance in Athens, Georgia at the New Earth Music Hall.
