Aaron Harris, drummer of the recently defunct Isis, has revealed a number of exciting upcoming projects through his new website, cargocollective.com/aaronharris.  Within the site, Harris has announced that he’s been working with former Isis bassist Jeff Caxide and keyboardist Bryant Clifford Meyer “fairly regularly.” The group has been demoing new material, which Harris describes as “very fun and exciting.”

Several other interesting undertakings are discussed within the site, including a project with Jakob guitarist Jeff Boyle, as well as production work on the upcoming Pelican EP:

“I’m tracking some stuff for Pelican later this month for a new EP that they’re working on. The plan right now is for Larry and Bryan to do drums and bass with me here at my studio in Los Angeles, and Trevor and Laurent to do guitars in Chicago. Can’t wait to do this and hear some new Pelican songs. I always look forward to that! I’ll also be mixing Pelican at the Troubadour here in Los Angeles on Oct 30th. They’re doing a couple of 10 year anniversary shows (one in Chicago, one in LA). I’m happy to be a part of that.”

Harris hints on an impending effort scheduled to begin in early January. Although somewhat secretive with specifics, the project will see Harris teaming up with one of his “favorite drummers.”
