Normally I like my dance music a bit more aggressive, but Neon Hitch’s latest mashup, “What Starry Eyes Need to Know” is a beautiful chill-out track to close your night on the town. I’m talking silently enjoying the song with a bunch of your friends in a cab after a long night of dancing in WeHo while you take in the sights on any of the main streets. Do that and listen to this song.

The track blends the instrumental section of Irish amazeballs indie band Two Door Cinema Club’s “What You Know,” which is already eleventy kinds of awesome, and the sugary vocals of Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed.” Mashups are cool when done on the fly by the likes of DJ AM (r.i.p.) and Samantha Ronson, but there’s a sense of real artistry with Neon Hitch.
