For the 7th year in a row, FYF Fest will be bringing the undeniably alluring combination of music, food, and comedy to Los Angeles, and damn if they aren’t delivering on all three counts. They already had a stellar musical line-up for the September 4th event with !!!, Sleep, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Unbroken, Wavves, Ariel Pink, Best Coast, The Mountain Goats, and a slew of others slated to perform, but now they’ve also added one of my personal favorite LA bands, Local Natives, to the mix.

The comedy portion of the event will feature Paul Scheer (Human Giant) and Matt Braugner (Mad TV), among many other talented comics, and the festival promises over a dozen food vendors, in addition to a record swap, a large vending village, and carnival games. There will also be a special Fan Fest taking place the next day at a secret, intimate location featuring performances by The Rapture and Panda Bear. Tickets for that are $10 and can only be purchased at the September 4th event.
Children under 10 can attend FYF Fest for free with an adult, but if you aren’t a member of LA Music Blog’s vast network of single-digit-aged readers, you’ll want to pick up your ticket for the event either online or at one of the participating record stores soon. September 4th is just around the corner.
