Suicidal Records, the label manned by legendary madman Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies), is gearing up for the release of Infectious Grooves/Cyco Miko’s split live album, Funk It Up & Punk It Up: Live in France ’95. The two-disc offering will see a U.S. release date of June 15, 2010.

Recorded in Lyon, France in 1995 by sound man Tom Abraham, Funk It Up & Punk It Up features never-before-released live material from the original Infectious Grooves lineup. Featuring Suicidal Tendencies mainstays Mike Muir and Dean Pleasants, drummer Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion), bassist Rob Trujillo (Metallica), and Dave Nassie (No Use For A Name, Bleeding Through), the effort boasts all members pulling double duty between both bands.
Infectious Grooves is a funk metal band formed by Mike Muir and Rob Trujillo in 1989. The project was created as an additional music outlet for the members of Suicidal Tendencies, and released four albums between 1991 and 2000 before going on hiatus.
Cyco Miko was the moniker given to Mike Muir’s solo project. The outing saw two official releases, both through Suicidal Records.
