Ready for your weekly dose of free music? Check out some of the downloads that have come across the LA Music Blog desk this week (we all share just one desk here at the LAMB) and get your weekend started the right way, with new music! If you are having trouble downloading any of the files just try right-clicking and saving the linked file.
The Dig – These NYC indie rockers have a busy spring lined up. First a tour with the Editors and the Antlers, and then they hit the road with Protugal the Man and Port O’Brien: “You’re Already Gone”

Kate Miller-Heidke – Australian artist records with Los Angeles producer Mickey Petralia (Beck, Peaches, eels, Dandy Warhols). The result? Hear for yourself: “Politics in Space.”

The Soft Pack – From the same label that brought you Langhorne Slim, these boys from San Diego are currently rocking the UK, but they’ll be back in the States in March: “Cmon”

Broken Bells – Broken Bells pairs DJ Danger Mouse with the Shins’ frontman James Mercer. No wonder this LA duo has the honor of being iTunes Single of the Week: “The High Road”

Darrick brought two new mixtapes to our attention this week, so all hip hop fans should direct their attention here and here.
